Update: July 20th @ 2:30 PM EDTAurora, CO police chief Dan Oates updated the number of victims from 50 to 59.
America has yet to know the entire story but so far we do know the following. Residents around the Aurora, Colorado area drove, walked or possibly took a bike to the Century 16 theater to innocently watch a movie.

Children attended the complex with parents, young couple probably entered the area holding hands, more than one movie attendee had eatery staples of theater of popcorn, candy and/or soda in their hands. Sadly, 24 year old suspect James Holmes had a gun.
From the Associated Press July 20th:
“A gunman wearing a gas mask set off an unknown gas and fired into a crowded movie theater in suburban Denver at a midnight opening of the Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises,” killing 12 people and injuring at least (59) others, authorities said.
Moviegoers didn’t know what was happening and some thought the attack was part of the show. Then they saw a silhouette of a person in the smoke at the front of the theater near the screen, pointing a gun at the crowd.”
Guns kill innocent people. Guns take the lives of humans out of their prime, and leave families mourning those who are no longer of this Earth that we know. Guns murder children before their opportunities attend elementary school, decide what colors they’re to wear at the prom or walk across a high school stage proud to receive a diploma.
Near Midnight of Friday, July 20th in crowded theater, 12 individuals are dead and reports cites at least 50 were injured by the actions of a person carrying a gun with deadly intentions.
Today, millions of Americans will struggle to make sense of why our country prove daily to be one of the most violent entities in the World. Meanwhile, the National Rifle Association will continue to fight for their members’ “rights to open carry” any type of weapon meant to kill another human being.
Similar to in the case of the 13 innocent victims of the Columbine (Colorado) High School massacre on April 20, 1999, eventually most of the America and our media will move on from this story within the months ahead. Family members of the deceased unfortunately will have to learn how to continue life, without the one they loved, and another individual in a similar mindset as suspect James Holmes will proudly boast about their Constitutional Rights to bear arms.
When will Americans learn that violence, guns and our innocent victims of firearms should give us deep thoughts about how we as a nation truly value each and every human life.
